What is LPG?

LPG is a versatile and efficient energy source; it is a hydrocarbon gas that exists in a liquified form. It is colourless, low carbon and a highly efficient fuel. Supplied in two prime forms; Propane and Butane.

Propane is the favoured fuel used in commercial applications as it performs well in lower temperatures, where it is used in mainly outdoors.

Butane is primarily used indoors due to its higher boiling point and is seen in heaters, and single burner cooking appliances.

LPG is the cleanest burning fossil fuel compared to oil and coal, it emits virtually no black carbon, and it does not spill1.
